What GPU do I need for AI detection?
Any modern NVIDIA GPU (GTX 1050+) or Intel iGPU with Quick Sync. LookoutNVR uses YOLOv8 via ONNX Runtime — it even runs on CPU-only systems, just slower. A GTX 1650 handles 30+ cameras at 2% GPU usage.
Which cameras are compatible?
Any camera that outputs RTSP or supports ONVIF — Hikvision, Reolink, Amcrest, Dahua, and hundreds more. LookoutNVR can auto-discover ONVIF cameras on your network.
How much storage do I need?
Roughly 15-30 GB per camera per day with H.265 at 4MP. A 4 TB drive holds about 14-30 days for a 10-camera setup. LookoutNVR automatically manages storage with configurable retention.
Is the free tier really unlimited?
