Camera compatibility Supported

Hanwha Vision (Wisenet) cameras
with LookoutNVR.

Supported through ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M, which the current Q, X and P AI models list.

Stream addresses

Lookout reads these from the camera itself over ONVIF. Type one in only when ONVIF is off. Put the camera's user name, password and address in place of user, password and camera-address.

Main streamrtsp://user:password@camera-address/profile1/media.smp
Second streamrtsp://user:password@camera-address/profile2/media.smp
Third streamrtsp://user:password@camera-address/profile3/media.smp
RTSP port554
ONVIFOn
DVR and NVR channelsMulti-sensor cameras and encoders: /<sensor 0-3>/profile2/media.smp. Hanwha NVRs: /LiveChannel/<ch from 0>/media.smp

Which profile holds which resolution depends on the camera's profile settings. Applies to current Wisenet, older Samsung SNx models and Wisenet T thermal.

Before you add it

  • There is no default password. Set the admin password on first access; ONVIF and the camera API stay off until you do.
  • Main stream is /profile1/media.smp and the second profile /profile2/media.smp.
  • Five wrong passwords within 30 seconds blocks sign-in for a while. Fix the password once, then wait.
  • Switch on RTSP or ONVIF in the camera's settings if it ships with them off, and make a user for Lookout.
  • Set the second stream to about 640 pixels wide in H.264. Lookout records the main stream and watches the second one.
  • Give the camera a fixed address and turn on NTP, so its clock is right.

The camera setup guide has the rest.
