Any ONVIF camera
with LookoutNVR.

Any brand. If a camera works with a third-party NVR, it works with Lookout: cameras that pass ONVIF Profile S or T give Lookout their stream addresses themselves.

Before you add it

  • Switch ONVIF on. Many cameras ship with it off.
  • Create an ONVIF user if the camera keeps a separate list for ONVIF.
  • Keep the camera's clock in sync (NTP). ONVIF sign-in fails when the time is far off.
  • Switch on RTSP or ONVIF in the camera's settings if it ships with them off, and make a user for Lookout.
  • Set the second stream to about 640 pixels wide in H.264. Lookout records the main stream and watches the second one.
  • Give the camera a fixed address and turn on NTP, so its clock is right.

The camera setup guide has the rest.
